Demolition Derby Championship Guidelines

    To encourage participation in demolition derbies, KAFHS has created a high point series to recognize and reward such participation.

    Participants shall be awarded points in the following manner when entered in a participating County Fair program:

            20 Points to participate in a derby,

            10 Points to participate in the feature,

            15 Points for winning the feature,

            10 Points for 2nd place in the feature,

              5 Points for 3rd place in the feature.

    Each participating Fair must file an official report and the participant list form following the event within 30 days of the event. This is for accurate accumulation of points per individual participant via the multiple fairs that they may participate in the point series.

    At the end of the County Fair season, all reported points will be tallied and a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place shall be determined. Those winners will be invited to the Association’s annual convention where they will receive trophies and the following prize money during the Business Meeting:

            $1000 First Place

            $500 Second Place

            $300 Third Place

    Points will be counted for derbies held in the fair week only. If there are multiple derbies held during the fair

week, then points will be summarized for each driver. This would be on the dates turned in as fair weeks. Rain

dates will be accepted, if held within 30 days of the fair.

    The final results will be summarized prior to the January Convention by members of the KAFHS Motorsports Committee. All results are final.
