DIESEL TRUCK RULES Attention Pullers: Upon you registering & paying your hook fee, you are in agreement that you have read and understood the rules for the class that you entering and the general rules, and that it is your understanding that your truck/tractor meets these rules. If your truck\tractor fails to pass these rules, there will be no refunds given. So if you have any questions about the rules make sure, you ask a tech official before registering.
8500 LB SUPER STREET DIESEL TRUCKS
1. May be hauled to pull.
2. Single Turbo charger only. The compressor housing may be no larger than a 2.8 inch ROUND inlet measured at the smallest diameter area of the compressor wheel. Downsizing of the compressor housing ahead of the wheel is allowed but must meet the 2.8 inch diameter for at least 3/4 inch in front of the wheel along the bore. The inlet will be measured using a 2.85 inch plug. A stock MWE groove is allowed. No MWE groove will be allowed that has greater than a 1/4 inch width. All provisions allowing air to the wheel other than the bore and the MWE groove are prohibited.
3. All Computer chips and boxes are permitted
4. No Nitrous or Propane - All Bottles Must Be Removed (a) Pullers will declare upon being teched if their truck has any equipment capable of delivering NITROUS OXIDE and\or PROPANE. (b) Upon the pullers declaration of having this equipment the PULLER will make the bottle end of the line to the delivery solenoid available to the techs for a visible inspection, to insure that it is not capable at the time of pulling to deliver NITROUS OXIDE or PROPANE © Upon inspection of the truck and the above mentioned equipment is found, and the PULLER failed to declare his TRUCK possessed this equipment, the PULLER and TRUCK will be immediately disqualified, not allowed to pull and will forfeit all entry fees paid.
5. Water\Methanol Injection allowed.
6. There will be under hood inspections
7. Rear Suspension may be blocked. Blocks must be easily removed. NO WELDED REAR SUSPENSION.
8. Air Bags permitted, must have only 1 airline running to them and line must be capped off, no air tanks, compressors or in cab controls.
9. Traction Bars must have a safety loop or strap securely attached to frame & bars near where bars attach to frame of truck.
10. Front Hanging Weights are allowed, NOT to exceed 60 inches forward of the center of the front axle. THIS WILL BE MEASURED FROM CENTER OF FRONT WHEELS TO FURTHEST MOST POINT OF WEIGHTS OR WEIGHT RACK. NO Weights in cab of truck.
11. Factory or commercially distributed aftermarket hitch. Must be horizontal to the ground and stationary in all directions. Height from ground must not exceed 26 “. Minimum 3 1/2-inch diameter for sled hook. (NO UNDER BED PULLING HITCHES)
12. Hook point must be past rear of truck bed.
13. NO hitches with chains holding it to a gooseneck ball or other device in truck bed.
14. No weight transfer hitches.
16. D.O.T. Street legal tires.
17. Engine must have come stock from the factory in a 1-ton pickup truck or less application. Engine does not have be the same manufacturer as truck. (i.e. Cummins Engine may be transplanted in a Ford or Chevy truck )
18. Drive train must be O.E.M. from 1 ton or less pickup. (I.E. NO DROP BOXES OR REVERSERS)
19. Trucks with manual transmissions, running in excess of 4000rpms must run a scatter proof blanket on the bell housing.
20. Must have a minimum of 2 drive line loops. ( 2 on rear drive shaft) Must be 360 degrees of enclosure, made of steel minimum ¼” thickness x 2 “ wide or aluminum minimum 3/8”thickness x 2” wide. Must be securely mounted within 6” of front universal joint & rear universal joint.
21. Rear axle bolts must be covered either by center cap or shield.
22. Drivers must wear seat belts & helmets are recommended.
23. IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT ALL TRUCKS HAVE SAFETY EQUIPMENT (FUEL SHUT OFFS, KILL SWITCHES, SCATTER BLANKETS, FIRE EXTINGUISHER, ETC.)
